Miranda & Matt // Wedding

"I know Matt will also be there for me and he reminds me daily why he loves me. Any hard times that we might face, I know that we will be there for each other." ~Miranda

Miranda & Matt are a shy intellectual couple, who have exceptional tastes.   They choose plum purples and gold with hints of wood tones.  Sometimes the best loves are the ones you find when you aren't looking.  These two seemed to always attend the same gatherings and every time get into long and wonderful conversations.  Four years after their first meeting they decided to tie the knot at Canopy Creek near Dayton, Ohio.  I was so excited to see their traditional and modern style fuse with Canopy Creek's farm backdrop.

It was my first wedding with planner Melissa Lohr, she was fantastic!  On top of being incredibly helpful and organized she also performed the couples wedding ceremony.  That's a full service wedding planner! She is based in Cincinnati but travels to my area for planning.  You should check her out at Beautiful Memories Wedding & Event Planning.

Erica & Nick

I Love You More Than Ohio State Loves Football...

There may not be a more hardcore fan base in the BIG 10 conference than that of the Ohio State Buckeyes. From the lovable mascot Brutus to “Dotting the I”, tradition runs deep in Ohio.  Erica and Nick are no exception they bleed scarlet and grey like the rest of us and decided to showcase their love for OSU football on their BIG DAY!

Just like the OSU band, aka “The Best Damn Band in the Land” this couple most definitely had “the best damn wedding” thus far.  Plus did I mention, Erica and Nick are the most amazing people on the planet!

Erica and her deep love and obsession for Etsy and Pinterest was apparent throughout the ceremony and the reception. From   customized EVERYTHING..... to napkins, cups, stir sticks, to TONS of signage, to charger plates, to customized Coke bottles, to matching Kimonos for her girls, a classic car, and a vintage camper photo booth. Lastly a hay bale monogrammed with flowers by my friends at Floral V Designs!  They thought of EVERYTHING and their fantastic wedding planners were instrumental in making it all come together and run perfectly smooth!  The girls at Pink with Envy make my life so easy!

Before the wedding they buried a bottle of whiskey on the venue grounds for good luck!  Per Southern tradition, they had to dig it back up on their wedding day!

Even though this wedding didn’t take place at The Shoe in Columbus, Ohio (ohhh, but the engagement session did-click here) the venue of Canopy Creek was a perfect backdrop to this elegant but amazingly fun affair.

From all the amazing details (Brutus head hiding on back of cake, Grooms Cake of the Ohio State Stadium) to the heartfelt vows with tons of OSU football stats incorporated into them.  LOVE!

O-H-I-O!!!!  GO BUCKS!!!

Kristine & Justin

Kristine and Justin is an amazing and super outrageously fun couple with an equally awesome wedding party and guests in attendance.  So when you put tons of super awesome and fun people in a room together you ultimately get one SUPER RAD WEDDING!

It was no surprise that these 2 horse lovers opted for an outdoor rustic barn wedding.  And even though the thought of a rustic barn wedding would deem to be a casual affair, the bride and groom did not in any way skimp on the details.  The wedding colors of red and turquoise where unexpected, but worked for their rustic barn themed event.  All the small details really made a huge impact and really personalized the event for the couple.  Guests signed a tree slice, rather than a traditional book.  Guest gifts were Mason jar inspired mugs adorned with small brass horseshoe charms, paired with paper straws.  The wedding party got a fancier version of these which were personalized with chalkboard paint, lace and burlap.  Other details to mention were customized matches, napkins, drink stirrers, a signature cocktail and even flip flops for their wild dancing guests.  And of course they rented a photo booth with a trunk full of cool props for guests to take pics in between hitting the dance floor.  Ohhhhh and I can’t forget to mention the cake & dessert table, which makes my mouth water to this day just thinking about it.  AHHHH-MAZING!

A couple of shout outs on this event…….The flowers were amazing and always beautiful from Sherwood Florist (high fives Jessie!).  Event Planners Pink with Envy (Brooke) helped the day go amazingly seamless and were splendid to work with on the day of!
